Curved Retractable Security Screens to lock off Public Buildings

ATDC’s increasingly popular S08 retractable curved steel security screen has recently been installed to secure the new General Learning Centre at Brisbane Central State School.

Specified by Queensland based Towill Design,this very large 14 metre wide x 3.7 metre high curved screen traverses two different radius turns to conform with the curvature of the building.

This top hung door system has no floor track and is instead secured through a system of multiple intermediate up/down locking mechanisms along its span.

Project managers for this job were Badge Constructions (QLD).

Sliding Security Doors can comply with Emergency Egress Requirements

ATDC’s S06 heavy duty trellis security door can be installed with an emergency egress facility for keyless exit in applications where this is a requirement.

For extra security, ATDC use a completely transparent lexan plate to prevent persons from reaching through the door mesh from the external to release the lever handle on the internal of the door.

For additional security key access is required for entry from the external.

New Concertina Doors For the Australian Marketplace

The concertina doors are manufactured from extruded aluminium sections and suspended from heavy duty aluminium top track. Innovative Australian made concertina door

ATDC recently installed its heavy duty concertina door to the canteen to The University of Western Australia in Perth to separate it from the library for after hour use by students.

These very large spans (9700mm and 6500mm wide) were secured through the use of the S06 heavy duty concertina door which allows maximum ventilation through its scissor action cross linkages. Suspended from a heavy duty top track which is in turn supported from a structural overhead beam, the door achieves seamless lock up through a system of up/down locking mechanisms. The doors concertina sideways to a minimal storage compaction size. No floor track is used nor any removeable mullions.

Project manager for the project was Subiaco based builder Fairweather & Sons.

Shop Front Security Doors with a Difference

ATDC has installed its Shop front security doors to the Ezy Mart store in Hamilton, near Newcastle in NSW.

These door systems are completely retractable during retail trading hours sliding almost completely out of the way and out of sight. When locked and closed overnight however they provide a formidable security barrier.

The product type used at this application is ATDC’s S06 model. It complies with Australian Standards AS 5039 for sliding security doors having successfully passed the requisite tests for Dynamic Impact, The Lock and Hinge lever/anti-jemmy test and the pull test.

Vermin proof Commercial Roller Shutters from ATDC

ATDC’s commercial roller shutters recently installed for Taco Bell at Orange, NSW, have a vermin proof facility whilst still permitting ventilation through it.

The model Series 2 extruded aluminium shutter (pictured) has some of the interlocking slats in the curtain slotted and then covered over with a perforated mesh infill thereby allowing free flow of fresh air whilst still keeping out vermin.

The job was project managed by Sydney based Aspect Design and Development.

Specified by Channon Architects, ATDC’s satin black powdercoated S05 model sliding doors fold out of the way and out of sight when not in use however when locked and closed permit maximum through flow of fresh air and they are a visually stunning addition to the inspired design of this café, wine bar and retail space. A system of intermediate up/down locking systems provides a seamless lock up solution for the premises.

4500MM HIGH COMMERCIAL BIFOLD SECURITY DOORS

ATDC has installed a 4500mm high commercial bifold security door to the storefront premises at Bobs Barber at Eastlands Shopping Centre in Ringwood, Victoria.

Project manager for this installation was Dingley Village based shopfitter One68.

ATDC utilized a special heavy duty galvanized steel overhead Eltrack system which incorporates individual 2-wheel industrial top hangars to carry the weight of this satin black powdercoated bifold security door. 4500mm is the maximum height for these doors.
