Challenges that were overcome on this architect specified project included both traversing a custom designed radius curve as well as a stepped counter height . Security was achieved through a series of up/down locks which provide lock up without the need for any floor track to the counter top . A continuous overhead support beam was required to attach the aluminium extruded head track and to suspend the door weight of approximately 12 kg per square metre.

ATDC has recently supplied its stylish, lockable and portable expandable barriers to secure the newly opened tenancy for Yangga Korean Deli at Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre , just north of Sydney.
Expandable barrier Project Design Specifications
The challenge on this project was the absence of any overhead support structure and further the fact that a service counter was placed across a portion of the lease-line at one end of the tenancy. The solution was the installation of a 2m high trackless barrier which abutted up to the edge of the service counter which then locked onto an 1100mm high barrier installed above the counter top. In this manner the complete width of the tenancy was secured.
The 2m high trackless barrier was fabricated to operate on a series of rigid steel T bases and industrial grade bottom castor wheels making it completely mobile, flexible and collapsible thereby making it cost efficient for the staff to set up quickly for trade each morning and similarly to lock up the store quickly at night. The lower height 1100mm high barrier was installed with an inline bottom castor wheel on the leading edge.
The barriers were powdercoated in a special Copper Kinetic finish to match the wooden appearance of the shopfront surrounds.
A 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies.
