What were the Expandable Barrier Project Design Specifications?
Experts Working to Solve Unique Problems
There was no easy method of securing this tenancy since there was no adequate structure to support the installation of traditional top hung door systems. A servery counter installed in the path of the lease line at one end of the storefront provided additional challenges. ATDC were able to overcome these apparent difficulties through the installation of trackless expandable gates which did not require any structural supports and so provided the level of security required by the customer. Wall mounted locking was a method to secure the systems together with intermediate drop bolts installed along the span of the gates.
Why Choose These Gates?
These cost-effective expandable gates are ideal to restrict access in shopping centres, kiosks, pop-up shops, food courts, arcades, shop fronts, temporary tenancies, sports stadiums, showrooms, warehouse loading bays and public buildings including airports, railway stations, bus interchanges, construction sites, OH&S work safe areas.
The barriers were powdercoated in a standard black satin finish.
Warranty
A 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies.

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has installed its Roller Shutters at Bundha Sports Centre, Australia’s first multi-level community indoor sports facility which is adjacent to the Wurun Senior Campus at North Fitzroy near Melbourne.
The facility was purpose built for Development Victoria. Project managers and builders were Built Environs (head officed in Adelaide) whilst the architects for the project were Co-Op Studio.
The curtains on these roller shutters consist of a combination of solid extruded aluminium slat infills as well as slotted sections with a perforated mesh infill to permit airflow. Key switches were installed to limit access control and increase security to the premises.
The maximum possible span for these roller shutters is 5500mm in one section if motorized. The roller drum is manufactured from a heavy duty 229mm steel tube which is either seam lock or spiral welded. For electric operation 240V electric actuators are utilized.
On this particular project a number of special access control features were provided for these roller shutters including digital card swipe facilities with protective Photo Electric beams. The shutters were also wired to the customer’s emergency fire protection system.
