ATDC has recently installed its heavy duty RS3 model shopfront doors throughout 13 individual tenancies at Luddenham Shopping Centre at Luddenham near Sydney.
With their double walled extruded aluminium slat infills for extra strength, these electric operated powdercoated doors also have individual key switch operation and so provide the individual tenant with additional security.
Folding up into slimline overhead pelmet boxes to conceal the door curtain when in the opened position, these doors provide an unobstructed storefront window during trading hours and so maximize the visual display of any retail merchandise
ATDC’s commercial roller shutters recently installed for Taco Bell at Orange, NSW, have a vermin proof facility whilst still permitting ventilation through it.
The model Series 2 extruded aluminium shutter (pictured) has some of the interlocking slats in the curtain slotted and then covered over with a perforated mesh infill thereby allowing free flow of fresh air whilst still keeping out vermin.
The job was project managed by Sydney based Aspect Design and Development.
These commercial roller shutters are also sold in Melbourne,Brisbane and Perth. For further information visit ATDC’s website at https://www.trellisdoors.com.au/products/commercial-security/roller-shutters
ATDC is proud to have participated in the recent upgrade at Springetts Arcade, a landmark historical commercial building in Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands that used transparent roller shutters.
TRANSPARENT ROLLER SHUTTERS CAN BENEFIT MANY BUSINESS TYPES
Springetts Arcade is an institution in Bowral opened in 1972 and is still in the hands of its original owners, the Springett Family.
With 50 stores within the arcade, ATDC had to come up with shutter solutions that would work well for a wide range of stores, offering accessibility, security, and aesthetic value. It’s also a historic building, meaning care had to be taken in the design and installation to keep the arcade’s antique value.
The Roller Shutter Project:
ATDC were engaged by Mark Springett, the current proprietor, to design, supply and install its market-leading transparent roller shutters to all tenancies throughout the ground floor in the property’s recent upgrade.
When project managing a transparent roller shutter installation, especially in a large property such as this, which is both street-facing and with many shops inside, clever planning has to go into the design choices to ensure aesthetics that not only wow but are appropriate for a commercial setting.
What We Used:
These roller shutters are attractive and elegant and capable of spanning an aperture of 5.5m wide x 4m high. The translucent feature allows shoppers and passers-by a full view of the merchandise on display in the retail tenancies even when these stores are locked and closed.
Trellis doors bring a warmth and cosmopolitan feel to the entire property, which few other commercial closures can achieve. The experts at ATDC guided the owners towards this decision that resulted in an excellent finish after our expert installation.
These commercial roller shutters not only enhance security but also contribute to the modern aesthetic of contemporary businesses.
Commercial Transparent Roller Shutters Great for Modern Storefronts
Unveiling the Modern Storefront Solution
ATDC’s RS7 transparent clearvision roller shutters are a testament to the intersection of security and aesthetics. These sleek and stylish roller shutters are designed exclusively for electric operation, providing a seamless and convenient security solution for commercial spaces.
Advanced Features for Maximum Security
Equipped with heavy-duty key switches, these roller shutters prioritize security without compromising on user convenience. The inclusion of UPS battery backups ensures a fail-safe mechanism in case of power failures, guaranteeing continuous operation and security even in challenging situations.
The RS7 roller shutters boast an impressive capability, spanning a maximum width of 5500mm x 4000mm high. The heavy-duty 229 spiral welded spring-balanced drum is a carefully engineered component, designed to efficiently carry the weight of the overhead drum, ensuring durability and reliability.
Transparent Design for Enhanced Visibility
One of the standout features of the RS7 roller shutter is its transparent polycarbonate infills. These infills are strategically supported between horizontal aluminium extrusions, allowing maximum through-vision.
This design not only provides security but also allows natural light to filter through, creating an inviting and open atmosphere within the commercial space for staff. Moreover, the transparency allows potential customers to look inside the store even once it’s closed (or before opening), tempting them to return later.
Project Showcase: Terry White Pharmacy, Cleveland
The successful implementation of the RS7 roller shutters at the Terry White Pharmacy in Cleveland was managed by Interior Fitouts Pty Ltd, a reputable interior fit-out company based in Banyo, Queensland. This project serves as a real-world example of the seamless integration of ATDC’s innovative roller shutters into modern commercial environments.
