The expandable barrier installed in this application spanned a 9 metre wide carpark entry which had a restricted height limitation of less than 2400mm high and almost no available space for an overhead support structure.
A slimline heavy duty RHS support beam was installed and the expandable barrier’s 40mm heigh extruded aluminium top tracking system was installed directly to this.
Other limitations on this installation included a requirement for no floor tracking due to the passage of cars and other vehicles through the car park entry.
Accordingly, lock up was achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locks which provide seamless security without the need for any removable floor track.

PROJECT DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
Pioneered by our experienced in-house engineering team after years of intensive R&D the glass stacking door on this project spanned 7000mm wide x 3000mm high and it is designed with its panels centrally top hung and without any floor track. It is manually operated, and the individual panels are suspended from commercial grade hangar rollers housed in stainless steel carriages from an overhead extruded aluminium suspension track. The panel infill on the doors on this project is a 6.38mm translucent laminated safety glass. Locking is achieved through down locks which secure the door in position by means of key operated shoot bolts into the floor. A hinging door was supplied on this project for emergency egress purposes.

Project Design Specifications
This custom made curved folding door was supplied to suit an aperture 6600mm wide x 3500mm high on this architect specified project and it was fabricated with a special radius to suit. Lock up was achieved Seamless lock up was achieved through a series of up/down locks. The satin black powder-coated gate, which retracts sideways back to one side when unlocked and opened, was able to traverse a special radius curve of 1144mm.
