Project Design Specifications
This custom made curved folding door was supplied to suit an aperture 6600mm wide x 3500mm high on this architect specified project and it was fabricated with a special radius to suit. Lock up was achieved Seamless lock up was achieved through a series of up/down locks. As this folding door is installed at the entry of a shopping centre with high pedestrian foot traffic it was essential that there was no floor track which would have been a trip hazard.

ATDC also completed the installation of an impressive curved trellis door system at the Edmonson Park shopping centre in Sydney’s southwestern suburbs. This project demonstrates ATDC’s expertise in customising curved security doors to suit circular apertures.
Project Specifications
The curved trellis door spans an impressive 22 metres in width and stands 3500mm high. Designed to navigate a 600mm radius curve through a 90-degree angle, the door combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. Its innovative design achieves lockup through intermediate up/down locking mechanisms, eliminating the need for floor tracking.
Designed for Seamless Integration
This installation was tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Edmonson Park shopping centre, ensuring both security and a sleek design. The door seamlessly integrates into the shopping centre’s architecture, providing robust security without compromising on style.
Project Collaboration
The installation was expertly project-managed by Chipping Norton-based TD Shopfitting, with design specifications provided by Urban Design Concepts. The door was installed for Ambey’s Big Apple, showcasing ATDC’s ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Expandable Security Door Features
This expandable security door features multiple intermediate up/down locking mechanisms to assist in creating a seamless effect when combined with the absence of any floor tracking at all. The powdercoated finish specified by LiquidBlu Architects was a Precis Dark Bronze from the Akzo Nobel –Interpon powdercoat range (Colour code YY20BA) which carries a 20 year warranty.
ATDC worked closely with the project managers for the job, Hutchinsons Builders, in ensuring all levels and support structures were correct and adequate to provide a functional and working door closure.
