ATDC’s large custom-made folding doors can comfortably secure large opening sizes whilst still retaining their functional integrity.

The images show a recent project for Sushi Hub at Westfield Liverpool in the southwestern suburbs of Sydney.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

The black powder coated, folding door on this application is in excess of 11200mm wide x 3300mm high. The curtain is fabricated from heavy duty extruded aluminium components with interlocking hinges and industrial grade hangar rollers which allow the easy lateral sliding and stacking action of the door which is suspended from an extruded overhead tracking system. The curtain on the project is fabricated with a polycarbonate infill making it completely transparent and allowing maximum through vision.

The installation was project managed by Peakhurst, NSW based CIMA Project Group.

Widespan Concertina Doors to secure Oversize apertures

ATDC’s recent installation of its folding see through concertina doors secured the very large openings at the new Connor store which opened recently in Melton near Melbourne.

One of these openings is a massive 11m wide in expanse and nearly 3.8m high. The concertina doors easily covered this opening as the system glides effortlessly, suspended with heavy duty industrial grade wheel assemblies from a heavy duty extruded aluminium top track

Popular Accordion Doors secure large span apertures for retail, commercial, and hospitality applications

ATDC has installed one of its markets leading accordion doors to secure the large retail tenancy for Connor at Coffs Harbour in New South Wales

PRODUCT DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS.

This natural anodized 8500mm wide x 3000mm high door was manufactured from heavy duty extruded aluminum sections. The door curtain comprised 300mm wide stacking panels and was a clear polycarbonate infill which maximizes through visibility.

A series of intermediate up/down locking mechanism allows for a seamless finished product that requires no floor track, no removeable mullions and virtually no headroom

The accordion door followed the curvature of the angled tenancy line through two (2) X  90-degree curves to a 600mm standard radius.

Project managers for this installation were Tuggerah based Nu Shoppe Fitouts.

Each roller shutter on this project has a clear polycarbonate infill curtain which allows complete through vision, and each is electrically operated. Key-switch operation provides security for the restaurant by restricting the personnel which have access control to the premises. The finish in this instance is in natural clear anodised giving the product a more industrial appearance.

ATDC has installed an expandable t-max aluminium security door to each of the two large entries to this world leading surf park facility which has recently opened at Sydney Olympic Park.

Product Design Specifications

Each expandable gate installed on the project is 5500mm wide x 3400mm high and is constructed from rigid aluminium sections in order to combat the corrosive marine environment of the surf park facility. By utilizing recessed floor track there is no impediment to the free flow of pedestrian traffic through the entry gates to the surf park. Locking is achieved through a 3 -way locking mechanism which can be keyed to the building’s master key system. The specified finish was Monument Powdercoat from the Dulux Duralloy range.

Project Work

The specifying architect was Surry Hills based Clarke Hopkins Clarke and the job was project managed by North Sydney based construction firm Lipman Pty Ltd.

ATDC has installed its quality foldable doors at a new retail application for Best & Less at their new storefront in Queanbeyan, Australian Capital Territory.

PRODUCT DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

This custom made large matt black powder coated door was built to specification at 9245mm wide x 3600mm in height with a perforated metal mesh infill which offers both through vision and ventilation and also features a quick release break out door for compliance with the emergency egress provisions under the BCA.

The door mirrored closely the angled tenancy line through a 90-degree curve to a 600mm standard radius.

The Australian Trellis Door Company™ (ATDC) has recently installed its heavy-duty perforated roller-shutters to the storefront at Tobacco Station at Box Hill Central Shopping Centre in Melbourne.

ROLLER SHUTTER DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

The black powder coated security shutter on this project was a large 5000mm wide x 3600mm high system, electrically operated with key switch operation to limit access control to the premises. The curtain consisted of extruded aluminium slats with extruded aluminium joiner bars and with perforated mesh infills to allow ventilation and through visibility.

ROLLER SHUTTER APPLICATIONS

With its brick pattern curtain and perforated mesh infills, this shutter is the ideal product for securing serveries and bars, reception counters and benchtops, storefronts, arcades, alcoves and food service applications.

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has installed its heavy duty RS9 Aluminium roller grille shutter to secure the bar counter at The Sherwood Macarthur at The Wests Tennis Centre in Leumeah, Sydney.

Product Design Specifications

The RS9 roller shutter on this project is manually operated and key lockable with the curtain comprising heavy duty 12.7mm aluminium tubing connected by tough extruded metal links which form the system’s brick pattern design. The curtain rolls up and retracts into a slimline overhead pelmet box requiring very minimal headroom. The finish was in black powder coat.

Project manager for these works were Liverpool based James Clifford Constructions.

Applications

These roller shutters deliver security, maximum airflow and easy visibility control and hence are ideal for securing shop fronts, arcades, shopping centres, car parks, counter tops, reception areas, food service establishments, and back-of-business locations like delivery docks.

ATDC has installed its visually appealing  commercial S08 curved folding security door to secure the curved serveries to the University of Southern Queensland’s Ipswich Campus Café near Brisbane.

Project Design Specifications

Two (2) custom engineered curved commercial folding doors were supplied on this architect specified project with special radius curves fabricated to traverse the contours of these apertures. Security was achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locks which facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any removeable floor track. Whilst a continuous overhead support beam was required to attach the 40mm x 40mm extruded heavy duty top track, virtually no headroom clearance requirement was needed. This is a major advantage as compared to the substantial headroom which is required to install roller shutters.

The Specifying architect for the project was Wilson Architects based in Spring Hill. Project managers and builders were Newstead based Future Fitouts QLD Pty Ltd

ATDC has installed another first-class folding-door to secure a large tenancy at Box Hill near Melbourne in Victoria.

Product Design Specifications.

This 12000mm wide x 4000mm high door was installed for Maru Korean BBQ on a job which was project managed by Rowville based Hantas Construction.

Fabricated from extruded aluminium sections and finished in a gloss black powder coated finish, the door curtain comprised 300mm wide stacking panels containing perforated metal infills which maximize airflow, ventilation and through visibility.

A series of intermediate up/down locking mechanism allows for a seamless finished product that requires no floor track at all and virtually no headroom either.

The door followed closely the contours of the angled tenancy line through a 90-degree curve as well as a 45-degree curve to a 600mm standard radius.

Beautiful Security Doors for Gift Shop Aesthetic

 

Geelong University Hospital

The Australian Trellis Door Company’s (ATDC) smart folding collapsible doors were recently installed to secure the new retail premises of a gift shop at Geelong University Hospital’s recent upgrade of its Bellerine Centre.

The Project

The architects on the project were Baade Harbour Australia Pty Ltd (BHA) and the project managers were Geelong based St Ferrer Building Contractors.

Other Universities

ATDC’s FC1 folding closure door has been specified at other university projects across Australia including at ANU’s Hancock Library as well as Melbourne University Library at Southbank.

What We Did

ATDC’s FC1 300mm wide panel folding collapsible door was the product specified by BHA. The door was specified with natural anodised aluminium extruded frames and polycarbonate infills to provide maximum through vision.

Seamless lock up was achieved by the inclusion of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms. The door traverses a very tight radius 90 degree turn at one end as it folds back and retracts to a joinery storage cupboard at one end of the premises.

The top track is suspended from a continuous top structural support 3500mm from the finished floor. An up/down lock each end and a down lock in the centre of the closure facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any floor track or removeable mullions.

This eye catching installation literally takes your breath away. Finished in a gloss black satin powdercoat, the system spans a whopping 54 metres at its full extent and is suspended from an overhead support structure at a height of 3600mm.

 

The door is configured from 300mm wide panel sections suspended with industrial grade support carriages from a heavy duty extruded aluminium top track; it has three S-configured  bends and 2 x special radius curves as it follows the shaped contours of this aperture.

ATDC has recently completed an installation of its sleek looking FC1 commercial sliding door to secure the new Athlete’s Foot retail tenancy at Lismore Shopping Square in Lismore near Brisbane.

Working closely with Ben Taylor and his team at National Shopfitting Services who were the project managers for this installation, ATDC’s clear anodised, 300mm wide panel door was installed to suit an opening 6200mm wide x 2900mm high and was installed on time to meet the tight deadlines for the store opening.
