Product Design Specifications
Each expandable gate installed on the project is 5500mm wide x 3400mm high and is constructed from rigid aluminium sections in order to combat the corrosive marine environment of the surf park facility. By utilizing recessed floor track there is no impediment to the free flow of pedestrian traffic through the entry gates to the surf park. Locking is achieved through a 3 -way locking mechanism which can be keyed to the building’s master key system. The specified finish was Monument Powdercoat from the Dulux Duralloy range.

The specifying architect was Surry Hills based Clarke Hopkins Clarke and the job was project managed by North Sydney based construction firm Lipman Pty Ltd.

PRODUCT DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
This custom made large matt black powder coated door was built to specification at 9245mm wide x 3600mm in height with a perforated metal mesh infill which offers both through vision and ventilation and also features a quick release break out door for compliance with the emergency egress provisions under the BCA.
The door mirrored closely the angled tenancy line through a 90-degree curve to a 600mm standard radius.

ROLLER SHUTTER DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
The black powder coated security shutter on this project was a large 5000mm wide x 3600mm high system, electrically operated with key switch operation to limit access control to the premises. Project Design Specifications
Two (2) custom engineered curved commercial folding doors were supplied on this architect specified project with special radius curves fabricated to traverse the contours of these apertures. Security was achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locks which facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any removeable floor track. Whilst a continuous overhead support beam was required to attach the 40mm x 40mm extruded heavy duty top track, virtually no headroom clearance requirement was needed. This is a major advantage as compared to the substantial headroom which is required to install roller shutters.

ATDC has installed another first-class folding-door to secure a large tenancy at Box Hill near Melbourne in Victoria.
Product Design Specifications.
This 12000mm wide x 4000mm high door was installed for Maru Korean BBQ on a job which was project managed by Rowville based Hantas Construction.
Fabricated from extruded aluminium sections and finished in a gloss black powder coated finish, the door curtain comprised 300mm wide stacking panels containing perforated metal infills which maximize airflow, ventilation and through visibility.
A series of intermediate up/down locking mechanism allows for a seamless finished product that requires no floor track at all and virtually no headroom either.
The door followed closely the contours of the angled tenancy line through a 90-degree curve as well as a 45-degree curve to a 600mm standard radius.

The Project
The architects on the project were Baade Harbour Australia Pty Ltd (BHA) and the project managers were Geelong based St Ferrer Building Contractors.
Other Universities

What We Did
ATDC’s FC1 300mm wide panel folding collapsible door was the product specified by BHA. The door was specified with natural anodised aluminium extruded frames and polycarbonate infills to provide maximum through vision.
Seamless lock up was achieved by the inclusion of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms. The door traverses a very tight radius 90 degree turn at one end as it folds back and retracts to a joinery storage cupboard at one end of the premises.

ATDC has recently supplied its OH+S safety tested S04-1 mobile trackless trellis safety retractable barriers to secure the 50 lineal metre rectangular shaped lease line perimeter of the large freestanding fruit store at Stanhope Village Shopping Centre at Stanhope Gardens, a suburb in Sydney’s Western suburbs.
Safety Barrier Project Design Specifications
Four interconnecting trackless trellis doors were supplied to span the 4-sided rectangular shape of this 50 metre freestanding kiosk shopfront each to a height of 2m. Each system was assembled in easily moveable interconnecting sections through a series of auto locking mechanisms. Running on a series of rigid steel T bases and industrial grade bottom castor wheels these completely mobile door units are flexible and completely mobile and collapsible making it cost efficient for the staff to set up quickly for trade each morning and similarly to lock up the store quickly at night. In this way the store is secured without the existence of any overhead support structure in place at all.

ATDC has recently supplied its cutting edge S08 curved folding security door to secure the curved lease line perimeters of two island kiosks to the food court for a project by Singapore’s Housing and Development Board.
Project Design Specifications
Approximately four (4) custom designed curved folding doors were supplied on this unique project each door spanning approximately 9.5metres in width x 2700mm in height and each door traversing 2 x 90-degree curves through a standard 600mm radius. Each system was fabricated in easily manageable sections through a series of intermediate up/down locks which facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any cumbersome removeable mullions or clumsy removeable floor track. The 40mm x 40mm extruded heavy duty top track in turn provides a further advantage in that it obviates the need for any overhead headroom clearance requirement (whilst however still requiring an overhead support structure)

Unobtrusive Configuration

This side compaction size can be further reduced so as to be virtually invisible by running the gates on multiple parallel top tracks. General Design Specifications
These security gates are available in either extruded aluminium sections or alternatively in box section steel components and in both cases the trellis framed pattern infill mesh expands to the side either with the option of a heavy-duty top track and bottom rail. The need for a bottom rail can be alleviated however through utilizing a series of up and down key turn shoot bolt locking options.

Shopfront Door Closures
Australian Trellis Door CO (ATDC) is proud of its involvement in supplying many of their latest 2018 design shopfront door closures at this new QLD Shopping Centre. This is the second in a series of 3 press releases on these projects at this shopping centre redevelopment.
Pictured is an installation for Sunlit Asian Supermarket which is a leading and rapidly expanding Queensland based Asian grocery brand.The doors were specified by Blackbox Retail Projects and the project managers were Burleigh Heads based O’Flynn Builders.
This was one of a number of projects at this site which incorporated an innovative door stack storage minimizing technique (termed the S07-2 side-by-side) which involves a parallel top track arrangement. This has the effect of reducing the side compaction of the door closure to as tight as 8% of the opening span being secured which is just a fraction of the daylight opening width.And with the use of multiple intermediate up/down locking mechanisms a seamless lock up solution is provided.
Numerous tenancies at this site also incorporated the parallel top track arrangement in a curved configuration which enabled the door closures to traverse tight radius curves,S-bend curves and even angular shaped openings.

ATDC’s S05 deluxe model steel security trellis gates were ideal for the application-the gates not only provided the customer with a fully ventilated system for its food specific business but the fact the gates require no headroom at all was a major advantage as there was insufficient room inside the bulkhead to install any sort of overhead door system.

Following multiple break and enters into its stores, Kathmandu has turned to ATDC to install its expandable security barriers to deter future break in attempts for its highly sought after clothing and equipment brand.
