The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) installs its premium grade folding closures for Commercial, Retail, Hospitality applications throughout Australia
ATDC has installed another first-class folding-door to secure a large tenancy at Box Hill near Melbourne in Victoria.
This 12000mm wide x 4000mm high door was installed for Maru Korean BBQ on a job which was project managed by Rowville based Hantas Construction.
Fabricated from extruded aluminium sections and finished in a gloss black powder coated finish, the door curtain comprised 300mm wide stacking panels containing perforated metal infills which maximize airflow, ventilation and through visibility.
A series of intermediate up/down locking mechanism allows for a seamless finished product that requires no floor track at all and virtually no headroom either.
The door followed closely the contours of the angled tenancy line through a 90-degree curve as well as a 45-degree curve to a 600mm standard radius.
These premium grade doors are light and east to operate making them ideal to secure shopfronts, mall entries, reception areas and serveries, shopping centres, hospitals, aged care facilities, hotels, clubs and banks and commercial office doorways and passageways.
A 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies.

Geelong University Hospital
The Australian Trellis Door Company’s (ATDC) smart folding collapsible doors were recently installed to secure the new retail premises of a gift shop at Geelong University Hospital’s recent upgrade of its Bellerine Centre.
The Project
The architects on the project were Baade Harbour Australia Pty Ltd (BHA) and the project managers were Geelong based St Ferrer Building Contractors.

ATDC’s FC1 folding closure door has been specified at other university projects across Australia including at ANU’s Hancock Library as well as Melbourne University Library at Southbank.
What We Did
ATDC’s FC1 300mm wide panel folding collapsible door was the product specified by BHA. The door was specified with natural anodised aluminium extruded frames and polycarbonate infills to provide maximum through vision.
Seamless lock up was achieved by the inclusion of intermediate up/down locking mechanisms. The door traverses a very tight radius 90 degree turn at one end as it folds back and retracts to a joinery storage cupboard at one end of the premises.

Powdercoated in a black finish, this 300mm wide panel folding door for General Pants Co spanned a width of 3400mm. It operates through a series of industrial grade top support hangars which run from a heavy duty extruded top track.
What’s the Purpose of the Top Track?
The top track is suspended from a continuous top structural support 3500mm from the finished floor. An up/down lock each end and a down lock in the centre of the closure facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any floor track or removeable mullions.

ATDC has completed a major installation of its FC1 commercial folding closures to secure the new storefront at Sacca’s Fine Foods at Blackburn Square in Victoria, near Melbourne.
This eye catching installation literally takes your breath away. Finished in a gloss black satin powdercoat, the system spans a whopping 54 metres at its full extent and is suspended from an overhead support structure at a height of 3600mm.
The door is configured from 300mm wide panel sections suspended with industrial grade support carriages from a heavy duty extruded aluminium top track; it has three S-configured bends and 2 x special radius curves as it follows the shaped contours of this aperture.
Project managers for this installation are South Melbourne-based Dzine Construction Group.
ATDC has recently completed an installation of its sleek looking FC1 commercial sliding door to secure the new Athlete’s Foot retail tenancy at Lismore Shopping Square in Lismore near Brisbane.
Working closely with Ben Taylor and his team at National Shopfitting Services who were the project managers for this installation, ATDC’s clear anodised, 300mm wide panel door was installed to suit an opening 6200mm wide x 2900mm high and was installed on time to meet the tight deadlines for the store opening.
