ATDC has installed its high end pedestrian barriers to provide access control to both the Concourse Level and George Street level at Transit Hall Wynyard Station in Sydney.
Installed at the entry/exit to the travelators and escalators to both areas, these trackless and relocatable barriers have been installed with seamless floor lockable devices to provide an extra level of security, thereby making them a more effective access control device.
Specified by Martin Place based Architectus Sydney, the barriers have been powdercoated in a Matt Dark Bronze to complement the environs of the Transit Hall area. Project managers for the project were Multiplex Global.
ATDC’s pedestrian barriers are independently audited and tested for safety of operation and for OH+S workplace purposes.

An interesting trend is the widespread proliferation of barber shops across Australia which are appearing not only in the major shopping centres but also in neighbourhood centres, strip malls and stand alone stores.
ATDC has seen a surge in demand for its popular security doors and shutters not only for these barber shops but also for hairdressing salons and Beauty Salons. The major reasons for the popularity is the appeal of ATDC’s heritage looking old style security doors and shutters which retract sideways out of the way when not in use so as to be almost totally invisible. These doors enhance the older style look and feel of these outlets.

ATDC supplies a unique range of high end security doors and shutters which are often used to secure Jewellery Stores, Duty Free Stores and Pawnbroker shops.
This barrier range presents a formidable deterrent by night when the businesses are locked and closed however during trading hours these security doors and shutters fold completely out of the way either to the side of the opening or, alternatively, they can roll up above the opening. In either case the customer’s premises are completely unobstructed during trading hours and in this way a customer friendly environment is presented to the public instead of a permanently grilled, fortress-like appearance.

ATDC is proud to have participated in the recent upgrade at Springetts Arcade, a landmark historical commercial building in Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands.
Springetts Arcade is an institution in Bowral having opened in 1972 and is still in the hands of the original owners, the Springett Family.
ATDC were engaged by Mark Springett, the current proprietor, to design, supply and install its market leading transparent roller shutters to all tenancies throughout the ground floor in the property’s recent upgrade.
These roller shutters are attractive and elegant and capable of spanning an aperture of 5.5m wide x 4m high. The translucent feature allows shoppers and passers by full view of the merchandise on display in the retail tenancies when these stores are locked and closed. And they help give a warmth and cosmopolitan feel to the entire property which few other commercial closures can achieve.
